Gifts will never be detached  in the word Christmas. In our tradition, It is a time for sharing as we celebrate for Jesus' birthday. As a matter of fact, Filipinos visit their "ninongs" or "ninangs" to get something and it's commonly in a form of money. What is the perfect gift for someone on this special occasion?

I usually have a hard time choosing what gift to give especially such times wherein there are a lot of people in the malls maybe because they have plenty of money to spend during the season (despite the recession).

Here are some suggestion on gifts for Christmas:

1. Netbooks - I have researched that this is one of the best cheap gadgets available. I, myself, prefer to be receive such gift and I will be happy to have so.

2. Toys ( Mostly for Kids ) - There are a lot of toys in the malls and even good ones in Divisoria. Instead of giving money to kids, then probably give them toys to play with.

3. T-Shirts/ Pants / Any Clothes  - If toys are the most appropriate and cheap gifts kids then any clothes will do as a gift for any ages like teenagers.

4. Stuff Toys ( Specific kind of toy ) - Many are contemplating on what to give to their love ones like their girlfriends. Girlfriends love stuff toys such as a teddy bear as they usually hug these things as they sleep. I know this is already a common gift but it's still a cute and appropriate one - not outdated.

5. Mobile Phones/ Gadgets- If you have a large budget, then probably a mobile phone / gadgets will do. Mobile phones/ gadgets will bring smiles to anyone as they know that such thing is luxurious and you still sacrifice for his/her happiness or contentment.

6. Time - If you really doesn't have money for gifts, then just by giving your time is a big gift especially in a family. Bonding is better than material ones.

7. Money ( Cash ) - For me, money in cash is still the best for they can choose for themselves what they like.
