Cutting a bottle with the use of a string is an easy Physics magic but you can surely amaze your audience with this. On the other hand, it’s a magic you need to prepare for because of different needed materials. This is not a magic that you could hide in your sleeves but rather a prepared one to show how Science can produce magic to human’s eyes. But beware to take precautions such as wearing goggles to protect your eyes.
Materials needed are as follow:
- a bottle
- string/yarn
- Acetone
- lighter
- cold water
- pot holder
Procedures:
1. First and foremost, prepare the needed materials especially the cold water.
2. Get a string/yarn and encircle it to the bottle’s neck twice.
3. Tie a knot so you could remove it and bring it back easily again.
4. Remove the fixed yarn/string and dip it to the Acetone.
Note: Remember to first try if you could return it easily to the original place on the bottle.
5. Return the yarn dipped into the Acetone to the bottle’s neck.
6. Light the yarn by continuously using the lighter. The hotter the bottle, the better.
7. Quickly place the bottle into the cold water.
8. In just a matter of second, see how the bottle will be cut to the place where the yarn was placed.
So what’s the Physics principle behind it?
Thermal Shock! It’s the cracking result from the rapid temperature change. At first, the bottle was heated. And it was placed into a cold water producing thermal shock.

Christmas is a time for giving. So here are the gifts I received. For me, it’s better to receive than to give. Just kidding! I just love that my last Christmas part in Notre Dame is so great that it's already instilled in my heart and mind. This will be the most memorable event that happened in my life not because of the gifts rather the happenings that occurred. Gifts can wither but memories will not unless we die and release our last breath.
These are the key chains and other stuffs I got from our Christmas part last December. I always get key chains every year. But I still like these stuffs.
Here are the other gifts I received. The red one is from Tejada. The blue one is from my exchange gift partner, Paul, it is together with a boxer shorts but I will not place a picture of it here for a reason. Sorry to say but I don’t know who give that handkerchief but I like it since I lost a lot of such thing last year. The thing on the top of the handkerchief ( i don’t know what it is called ) is from Jen.
The picture with the red box is from Nicole. I just love the food inside it since it’s really delicious.
The gift I get from my girlfriend is a black t-shirt. Honestly, I really like it since it’s from her. This is my 2nd t-shirt from her. I think she likes black things for me. Ha Ha!

Many people hate the current president of the Philippines namely Gloria Arroyo. Her popularity rate even goes down as time goes by. Many hate her for different reasons. A lot of people blame her for what’s happening in their lives. But is it right that all the things must be her fault? Is it her fault that you don’t have money right now or don’t have enough but you don’t actually work? Others will say, “Is there even a job available now?”. Honestly, I don’t know what to say next.
Use PGMA as your stress reliever. If you really hate her then visit this site.
I just hate that I couldn’t make her fall down even a number of hits.

Here comes the new year again. As usual, I make my own personal new year resolutions. The picture is exaggerated. I would not use this time to fully renovate myself since I know that only a few things are needed to be changed. And I know there are still good points living in my body. Maybe?! Ha Ha!
So let’s get the ball rolling. . .
1. First and Foremost, Study > Dota
More study time and less time to play Dota. I know that this is the year that I get addicted to Dota. At first, I hated it since it gets boring as time goes by but it’s really fun to play with your friends thru Garena.
I wanted to remove Warcraft in my PC but someone in my mind is saying NO. Ha Ha! I’ll just play 1 game per day. Or play once I finished a project or duty. I will use it in an inspiration, in a way that I will get the chance to play once I finished the more important ones.
2. Stop Procrastinating!
Yeah! I want to stop procrastinating. I often feel a little guilt as a result of procrastinating. So as far as I can, I will put an end to procrastination.
3. Blog More, But Don’t Forget School Works
I wanted to earn more money in blogs. This is a fact! I just wanted to earn more views and earn thru Google Adsense. I wish there’ll be more clicks this year. And another wish is to have 100 dollars in it so I can withdraw it.
I will learn more about SEO and use it in my blogs. But please let me not remove my interest in my studies especially in Math.
4. Be More Serious in Life.
I make jokes everyday. Practical jokes to be specific. I would like to stop it so others will also have a good day always. I wish to stop my foolishness and be serious. Serious in studies.

I don’t really feel that Christmas is near. I can feel somehow the cold air through the window . But the feeling unto the usual Christmas is not here with me. It is just like another normal school break. The title of my post is weird. Yeah, I know that. I just really don’t know how to react on my feelings about the upcoming Christmas .
Actually, as the days pass, it gets more boring. Will there be someone that can make my Christmas remarkable this year?
I think my Christmas will be “cold” this year.

I’ll just repeat what the title says, I received a letter from the President. President? Yeah, she’s Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Most probably you’ll ask me why, isn’t it? It's not more on political matters. Who am I to know such things. It’s more related to my studies. Zoom in to read the letter. If you’ll observe the day it is send and the fact that I received it last month. It takes a couple of months to send it to a nearby place. Is it the quality that the President is telling me?
The letter is about the scholarship that I’ve been on. It’s the scholarship that I got from the government and the president is like telling me that she’s the main reason that I am on such scholarship. She tells about her programs related to the education. In addition , she also says that she even showcase it in his SONA.
Yeah, I am thankful for the scholarship. So what’s the scholarship I’m on? It’s the one where in I’ll receive more or less 6,000 pesos every year. For me studying in a private school, it’s just a small amount compare to the expense I have to pay excluding the books. But it still helps me though.
I know that I must be thankful about it. No need to brag about it! For me, the president is starting to show and slap us with the fact that the programs was initiated by her and we are benefiting from it. Since it’s her last year, she wants to show that she really did her part as a president. But I think, good presidents will really be recognized with his/her works without forcing the citizen’s to remember.
I have been a beneficiary of this scholarship but this is the only year where in she got the time to give such message. Is their another purpose for this letter?

Here comes the sun shining, telling me to wake up now, and prepare for the upcoming Christmas party. I ate,watched television,took a bath,brushed my teeth, and eventually fixed up myself from head to toe. I’m really excited before coming to school since I feel that this day will be a remarkable one. Remarkable in a sense that I will remember it from the rest of my life due to the happiness that I will experience.
BUT this remarkable seems to turn into a grim word. Remarkable for something unexpected.
And one of those happenings is that one classmate of mine dislocated her both, specifically the knee cap, during our “stop dance game”. Silence covered the room, making each and everyone to be serious for a couple of minutes. It’s really a bullshit that this kind of accident stroke our happy moments. Thank God, that she was brought to the hospital early and doesn’t need to go a more serious operation which will cost also a “more serious amount”. One of the lessons learned is that we can be wild for a moment, but remember that we must foresee and think over what kind of action we will do.
We continued our party by just eating the foods that we had brought. Then we decided to give the exchange gifts on exactly 11:00 a.m. Afterwards, another wild moment came in. Instead of eating the cake, we just play with it by in placing some icing on other’s face. It is really fun! But I just get a little pissed off when my new shirt got dirty. I just instilled in my mind that I must just get along with them since only a few months from now, we will be apart from each other. I learned that it is more fun when there are more people smiling around you.
Another bullshit came. Not a person , but a happening.
I was excited on bringing her to a place – any place just to be with her, but it turned out that she can’t. Why are people like that? Last (3? or 2?) years, I don’t care who she hang out with outside the school. Either she go with her “girl friends” in a mall , or with anyone else. Then I just want to turn this year to a more meaningful one, but she can’t even give half of her yes in my plans. I know that we will see each other again in college rarely so I want it to be like that. She just can’t seem to understand. Shit! When she lied to me in simple ways, I just ignored it. Then if I did something bad in her eyes, she’ll tell it to others eagerly. Darn! Actually, I am starting to reach my limit as time goes by. “People also have limitations, my dear, no one can have unending understanding in any deed you do.”
But love encloses all the pain in a small pill and throws it to a dump site.

Actually, I haven't packed my things yet for tomorrow as I am writing this post. Maybe some will say that I'm not excited about it. If you think so, then you're absolutely wrong because I waited for this retreat for so long since it was postponed last time. Even though I'll miss my Samantha for 3 days, I know that with this religious retreat I'll learn a lot of things that I can use in my daily living. I wish the topic on the retreat will be suited for us teens where in we can relate on it too much. It is fun if you know the topic well since you can interact fully.
I can't wait to have fun with my friends especially at night. Honestly, I'm looking forward on what are we going to do as friends and not as a class. Even though our venue is just in the Quezon City, I hope it will be remarkable as it's our last year already.

Tic! Tac! Tic! Tac!
The sound of the boring night passing by. I am usually thinking of nothing but the real is I'm also thinking about what really to do in order to remove this boring feeling. As the night passes swiftly, I never imagined the time will be this late. But I will not sleep before I installed a new anti virus which supposed to be Bit Defender 2010. And the worse part is after restarting my PC, a blue screen replaced my cute wallpaper.

Maybe this blue screen is telling me, " Please replace me now".
But my actions as I hurriedly and impatiently tried to resolve the problem suggest my response of, " Yeah, But NOT NOW". This is really a stupid and worthless night of my life. I really need my computer for different purposes.

My thumb is tired of pushing the button of revival. "Please restart and go to the state where I can use you". This is a short wish that occurred during the night. But with almost a thousands of tries that I did, it always goes back to the blue screen telling me again of its message

A day passed, but the blue screen really wrecked my kawaii wallpaper. I decided to erase the memories of my friend and replace it with another. As I reluctantly decide of what to do, I was finding the CD's to use. I decided to reformat my computer. The worst part of it is that all my archives in Yahoo Messenger will be gone in an instant. Alas! A new window is in front of me now. Faster and filled with only spaces but not with things.
I am now contented even it is filled with nothing. As long as I can use it, I am now happy. I can now study . I can now communicate with my girlfriend endlessly.

Have you seen those illegal vendors selling in different places they're not supposed to? Such as those locations near the malls since a lot of people will walk through it. Some are selling fruits, pirated DVD s , beauty products , accessories , and others. These are commonly known as sidewalk vendors. And they're considered as illegal vendors.I would like to reiterate the word "illegal".
Many people earn their living through selling products in the sidewalk. When these people are about to be removed by the authorities, they decide to have a rally saying that they are just selling and no other else. But if you will see the situation that they are bringing in such places, you'll see the unorganized way of placing their small store. Just this day, I saw a vendor which really covered the whole way to Grand Central and this is what pisses me off. Those people already know that it's illegal and they still do it. And the worse part of it is the stupid decision of covering the way for the people. I'm not against these people but aren't they thinking of the hazards they're bringing. In such crowded way, more crimes will be committed such as pickpocketing.
I thought that MMDA are doing their part of clearing these sidewalk vendors and placing them on a proper place since it's their way of living. But where are the actions? Will we only cling on the words and promises they uttered?
